Boa feathers fly, sequins shimmer, and the drama is constant and
intense at the Club Fem de Man, Larry Pellegrini's site for his new
musical comedy, BLESSING IN DISGUISE. Lady Linda (Patrick
Quinn), the oldest living drag queen, and her "ladies" are
performing, both on stage and in the dressing room. And what a
group they are! There's Fidelito (Julio Agustin), full of Latin sass
and spice; Hydranga (Jeffrey Drew), a Southern magnet for vice; Big
G (Ken Prymus), a hot mama with big hair and a voice to match; and
Lily Chow Mein (Andrew Pang), a hysterical scene stealer. Jacob
Harran, James Grimaldi, and Allen Hidalgo round out this fine
cast.

The new Times Square Theatre is set up like a nightclub, and drinks
are available before the show and during intermission. And a good
time is had by all! The ladies perform on stage and address their
personal problems in the dressing room. BLESSING IN DISGUISE
is abundant with bantering and repartee on the edge; innuendos and
snappy retorts abound. Clever lyrics and amusing choreography
enhance the raucous atmosphere. And by the end of the show, every
"lady" has won your heart. This is a thoroughly enjoyable way to
spend an evening.
