Brad Desch's LOVE IN THE AGE OF NARCISSISM is a
comedy with a fine cast, snappy dialogue, and adult concerns and
capers.

Smart, young sophisticates ("the football players of middle
age," "the fortunate five percent") roam through their lives, and the
lives of others, seeking refuge from their common dilemma - unease
and restlessness amidst the American dream.  Set in New York City,
the characters are a cross-section of the upper (or upwardly-mobile)
class - married, single, homemaker, career-driven, faithful,
adulterous, and even doddering elderly.  Although self-absorbed,
Desch has made each individual endearing with all their frailties.

Fast-paced direction by Chris Smith keeps this comedy/drama
interesting and amusing.  LOVE IN THE AGE OF NARCISSISM
is an evening well spent.
